The mission of the Austin Bar Foundation is to support and expand the provision of legal-related charitable and educational programs and services in Central Texas. The contributions of the Austin Bar Foundation Fellows help provide and support legal services to the poor, legal education programs, and assistance to lawyers in need.

Make a BIG Difference with Big Brothers & Big Sisters, June 17

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas and AYLA continue to recruit attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants to be a friend and mentor to Central Texas schoolchildren during the 2008-2009 school year. Please join them for an "Hour of Magic" on June 17 at noon to find out about the experiences of your colleagues who already have a Little Brother or Sister.
"Bigs" typically meet with their "Little" once per week for about an hour during the school year. These visits take place at the child's school, most often during the child's lunch hour. There are several participating schools located throughout Austin, typically only a few minutes away from downtown.
